Snow Caddies was born in the months following 9/11.
A couple of friends and I were in the Financial Services sector. I was selling Financial Services Advertising for a newly formed web portal and a friend was in charge of Trade Show logistics for a Software vendor. We were both golfers and we worked as caddies at the Rock Spring Club in West Orange for extra income.
In the months following 9/11 both work and the future of our companies were unknown, and we both felt financial downturn due to the economic slowdown. A good friend gave me the kick in the pants I needed to get up off the pity pot, and get moving. She asked if I could come over to her house and shovel her driveway, and sidewalk. I told her “ I don’t have a shovel” she replied “ STEF I will buy you a shovel if you will dig yourself out of your situation!”
SnowCaddies was born.

Now, 10 Years later, Snow Caddies handles over 40 Commercial and Residential properties in the Montclair area. A good number of our employees work as caddies in the summer, receive Caddie Scholarships and learn useful job skills that help them excel in both academic and business environments.
